摘要

Aims: A computer based system for entrainment detection and monitoring, developed by Vasantdada Sugar Institute, Pune has been used for testing entrainment levels in sugar boiling vacuum pans at different commercial sugar factories in Maharashtra State of India. The comparative study of the entrainment levels, particularly in B-and C- massecuite pans is reported in this paper. Significance of Study: It was noticed that for B- and C- massecuite pans, the entrainment goes to higher level even if the material is viscous.
