CP Violation in B Mixing and Decays

Recent LHCb results on CP violation in B mixing and decays are reported. The analyses are based on 1 fb~(-1) of pp collisions at √s = 7 TeV recorded in 2011. First evidence is presented for CP violation in B~± decays to the K~±K~+ K~-, π~±K~+K~-, and π~±π~+π~-final states. The CP violating flavour specific asymmetry,a_(sl)~s, is measured to be (-0.24 土 0.54_(stat) ± 0.33_(syst)) x 10~(-2), in good agreement with Standard Model expectations. A flavour tagged and time dependent analysis of the decays, B_s → J/ψф and B_s → J/ψπ~+π~-, measures ф_s =-0.002 土 0.083_(stat) ± 0.027_(syst) rad, in good agreement with Standard Model predictions.
