摘要

This paper looks at corrosion phenomena and the prevention there of in relation to reheater and superheater tubes in coal fired boilers. The environment in which superheater and reheater tubes must operate is shown to be severe in terms of oxidizing and sulfidizing potential. Tests show that weld overlay materials high in Chromium, in a Nickel matrix, perform best as compared to other commercially available metal coatings.
