What changes? One year outcomes of Seoul public transportation system reform

摘要

Seoul has made rapid growth and expansion since 1960. Seoul has been suffered every kinds of transportation problems resulted by rapid expansion and increase of vehicles. Transportation is a vital part of life in city. Without improvement of transportation system in a city, qualities of life in the city can not be improved. To improve quality of life in Seoul, we upgrade public transportation system and reduce car traffics in Seoul. More human-oriented transportation system is planned and carried out. As in charge of transportation of Seoul, I would like to share my experiences with other cities around the world, where have similar problems and aims.
