Presentation of the International Dame Sheila Sherlock Award 2006

The International Dame Sheila Sherlock Award, inaugurated in 2003 and generously sponsored by the Falk Family and Falk Foundation, is given for outstanding contributions to clinical hepatology, including advances in the diagnosis, therapy and prevention of acute and chronic liver diseases and their sequelae. The prize committee including Drs Hodgson, Manns, Omata, Powell, Rizzetto, Thomas and myself unanimously elected Dr. Elizabeth Jane Lindsay Heathcote as this year's recipient of the International Dame Sheila Sherlock Award.
