Objective: To assess results of detected autoantibodies in patients with clinical suspicion of coeliac disease (CD).Methods: Prospective evaluation and analyses were made in the period of October 1998 to September 2000. Serum samples (895) diluted 1:20, were evaluated on monkey oesophagus for IgA endomysial antibody (EmA) by indirect immunofluorescence (IF). Anti-gliadin (AGA) IgA, IgG, anti-transglutaminase (anti-tTG) IgA and anti-endomysium IgA were detected by ELISA.
