The paper utilizes QFD and Benchmarking analyses to develop a new customer-centered undergraduate curriculum in Supply Chain Management. The demand for such programs in academic institutions is growing because companies are increasingly seeking graduates with that background. However, there is currently no structural procedure available to design an academic curriculum in supply chain management that is based upon customer needs. We believe the customers of any academic program are the companies that will hire the institution's graduates, so we surveyed a number of organizations in order to gain an understanding of their hiring needs and expectations in the supply chain area. We then applied QFD and Benchmarking techniques to the results in order to develop an undergraduate program that will prepare graduates to meet those needs.
