Nanotechnology has attracted much attention in many researchers not only of material science but also of biotechnology. Several studies have been performed in nanotechnology, however, the fabrication of nanostructure and nanoscale patterning is a key study among them. In soft lithography, the nanoimprint technology is attractive for the fabrication of nano-scale structures [1]. We have succeeded in forming high-aspect -ratio structures (nanopillars) with diameter of 80-1000 nm and height of 1-3μm using high-aspect-ratio nanoprint (Hi-NP) technology[2]. Conventional nanopillar structures have been fabricated using LSI processes by photolithography with pillar materials limited to Si-based materials, however, Hi-NP technology has enabled easy fabrication of polymer nanopillars at low cost.
