VoIP Peering is currently changing the economic landscape of legacy telephone companies worldwide. It presents risks for those that implement it incorrectly and rewards for those that don't. One thing is for certain, it cannot be ignored. This paper is derived from a report which I authored for Light Reading. It defines VoIP Peering, its technology and economics and explains who us using it and why.
