Many ways are used to prevent short-circuits by isolating the edge junction of solar cells. And several technologies are today available to prevent these shunts, for example, wet etching and dry (plasma )etching.It is difficult for operator to do it ,since there must be no gap between any two pieces of wafer. Other side,it is very difficult to automatize the manufacture between the processes.So in this article, we discuss the feasibility of automatic laser edge junction isolation . In this method, it is easy to finish the process automatic without more additional machine.We can isolate the edge junction in line just before testing.
