A huge floating marina with basin inside was used to simulate the tidal flow fields and pollutant transport after installation of the structure by a 3-D multi-level finite difference method. The simulation was conducted for several cases with various combinations of marinas and piers. It was found that velocity fields around the marina were influenced by the presence of the marina. In the marina basin, the magnitude of velocity was reduced considerably but overall tidal flow flux through the bay entrance was preserved even after installation of the structure. The average pollutant concentration in the marina basin was, also, reduced to few percents of the initial concentration in one tidal period after discharge of the contaminant was stopped.
