摘要

This report concentrates on the optimal placement of spacer dampers. A literature survey is conducted on the oscillation of bundle conductors, and the mathematical model is developed. A span length is modelled using the finite element program -ADINA. The spacer dampers were varied in different positions hence, the damping factor is calculated for each and every position in order to find the positions with high damping factor. Recommendation for placement of spacer dampers is given based on the analysis of the result obtained from the ADINA program.
