摘要

In this paper we propose and evaluate a simple method for the derivation of the machine motions for filament winding applications. To obtain entirely analytical solutions, a reduction has been realised towards lathe-configured winding machines while exclusively considering shells of revolution. The proposed method has been applied on an extensive range of rotationally symmetric objects through simulations and experiments on a four-axes winding machine. It is believed that the provided equations can be of great use for rapid prototyping purposes since they set the ability for creating the required CNC machine control data by means of simple programs.
