摘要

The high-temperature fracture of aluminum specimens with cylindrical or rectangular cross-section is examined experimentally under high-temperature creep conditions. The strain localization is considered for different initial stretching stresses. The relative duration time of the specimen deformed uniformly is defined. It is shown that the evolution of strain localization in the specimen takes a considerable part (up to 40%) of lifetime.
