摘要

This paper proposed a new approach to couple peridynamics (PD) and finite element method (FEM) based on the implicit scheme and applied it to solve problems of fracture mechanics. Several fracture mechanics problems were simulated to prove the efficiency and effectivity of the model in analyzing crack propagation problems, including the mode I fracture, mode I-II fracture and multiple cracking of plates with pre-cracks. What's more, we have tried to apply the proposed hybrid models to the failure analysis of concrete gravity dam.
