Stability of a fracture testing geometry is important to determine the crack trajectory and R-curve behavior of the material, which is provided by a clamped beam bend geometry. Finite element simulations were carried out on the clamped beam to extract and provide the stress intensity factor solutions for different useful specimen dimensions and loads. Advantages of different specimen size ratios are discussed as guidelines for future users of this geometry.
