摘要

This paper considers simultaneous optimal design of structural and control systems. The system is described in the descriptor form representation and the problem is formulated by TMTs (Trilmear Matrix Inequalities). To convert this TMI problem into an LMI (Linear Matrix Inequality) one, we use a design procedure that consists of two steps. First, we transform the TMI problem into a BMI (Bilinear Matrix Inequality) one using the successive over-bounding technique. Second, we solve the resulted BMI problem using the alternatively fixing method. A numerical example of a simple structure is given to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.
