THE VOCS IN INDOOR AIR CHINA AND USA COMPARISON

Indoor air Quality (IAQ) has been paid more and more attention in the world. Specially the low level Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) existed in indoor air has been found in different place in the world and more and more disease related problems was connected with those findings. A pre concentration technology for analysis of VOCs (USEPA method TO-14 and TO-15) developed in early 90's has been introduced to more and more countries for indoor air analysis. The VOCs analysis in different countries for IAQ becomes more and more popular. This paper presents a group of data to show the results of VOCs in IAQ both in some USA and China location. The major comparison is in residential houses and offices. The data group is limited in some local range and may not be a typical representative but the presented data results shows that the serious VOCs pollution exist in most China's resident houses and offices, and in USA locations are not as serious as in China More investigation and study is needed to be done for a wide level comparison.
