Do building industry professionals and stakeholders believe what IAQ experts think is true

We surveyed 112 tenants, owners, facilities and property managers, architects, and mechanical designers across the United States about indoor air quality (IAQ) awareness, perceptions, technologies, and preferences. Majorities of respondents either disagreed or were uncertain that doubling ventilation rates and using more effective filtration would increase productivity, decrease absenteeism, or have any health benefits. Respondents' estimates of the costs of these upgrades far exceeded technical estimates, as well as the only amount--15 USD per person per year--that a plurality was willing to pay for them.
