Thermal environment and comfort in semi-open and interior spaces of folk houses in hot-humid area of China

A thermal comfort field study was conducted in the whole year of 2015 on folk houses in the hot-humid area of China, and 1106 sets of raw data containing the physical and personal factors and the subjective responses were collected in the semi-open and interior spaces, respectively. Compared to those of the interior spaces, the thermal environment was influenced more greatly by outdoor climate, the neutral and preferred temperatures were higher in warm seasons and lower in cool seasons, and the acceptable temperature range was narrower in all seasons in the semi-open spaces of folk houses in hot-humid area of China.
