摘要

Measured indoor carbon dioxide (CO_2) concentrations were used to determine average fractions of rebreathed air in thirty classrooms across seven high schools in Texas. The rebreathed fraction was used to estimate the potential for various airborne infectious diseases in high school classrooms. Initial results suggest a need for improvements in classroom ventilation to reduce the potential for airborne transmission of infectious viruses during cold and flu season.
