By using the curve followers for the mechanism with rotation cam, the displacement rule of the cutter that processes the cam is other then that of the follower. In the paper are presented two ways for obtaining the cutter movement rule that processes the cams with given groove. The first method is an analytic method that makes the problem into a cinematic analyze problem with the determination of the movement rule of a follower in translation movement The second method is a CAD method that uses AutoLISP functions for obtaining the cam and the cutter displacement rule. In both cases it is made a numeric application starting from a circularly grooved follower movement rule.
