Effect of Herbal Medicinal Drink Designed for Stamina Promotion on Sexual Capacities in Rabbit

The study was done to investigate randomized animal trials of herbal medicinal product(Damina mixed diet and diluted drink) on the semen qualities, spermatogenesis, sexual activity, serum hormones and lipid profiles for 7 weeks in New Zealand white rabbits. Experimental groups were divided into six. The bucks were exposed for 15min each to sexually receptive female. After each ejaculation the female was removed and a female was reintroduced 15min later. Semen collection was performed each time using a recently prepared artificial vagina. Blood was analyzed for hormones. A cellular change of DNA contents in the testis was investigated by flowcytometric method. It was concluded that there were increased semen volume and sperm count, shortened in mounting times and ejaculatory interval in relation to sexual activities. Also, blood serum DHEA and testosterone levels were increased after feeding the different forms of natural drink, suggesting the improved androgenicity and sexual activity of rabbits.
