Basic principle of linearly-frequency-modulation continuous-wave (LFMCW) radar level gauges is analyzed briefly. A method of improving their range-estimation accuracy is proposed based on the delay-mixer structure. Its frequencies are estimated by discrete Fourier transform (DFT) and Daubechies wavelet respectively. Simulation results show that the method is suitable for an on-line use in LFMCW radar level gauges.
