The significance is discussed for sharing platform of large instruments. The system structure of sharing platform is given and described. Several essential problems are discussed and a five-layer computing protocol model is suggested for sharing platform of large Instruments based on GRID (IGRID) technology. Furthermore, the basal function characteristics of IGRID are put forward.
