Disclosed is a cloud computing technology-based unified maintenance and on-demand sharing method for power grid models; a model center system independent of dispatching systems is set; each dispatching system completes the maintenance for a power grid model within own domination area through a terminal provided by the model center system and shares the power grid model with the other dispatching systems through the model center system; the power grid models dominated by the dispatching systems are naturally merged at the model center system with no need of a model combination operation; the power grid model update of the model center system, once released, is automatically and immediately copied to the dispatching systems; and through a partial download technology, the dispatching systems acquire the power grid model of the local area, of the other areas, or of the entire power grid. According to the present invention, the range of the models required to be downloaded can be set conveniently on the basis of the areas where the models are located, the stations where the models are located, voltage types, equipment types and the like, so that immediate and synchronous updating is ensured, and the requirements of four major types of application, including real-time monitor and early warning, dispatching planning, security check and dispatching management, are completely met.
