摘要

We present in details the principle of Quadri-Wave Lateral Shearing Interferometry andits inheritance from the Hartmann family. We show how this new technique has beenoptimized for laser metrology and how its features make it a good candidate for adaptiveoptics not only for laser applications but also for astronomy, ophthalmology ormicroscopy. We finally insist on its application to the control of segmented beam oroptics.
