Synthesis of N-Phenyl Succinimide Labelled with Hydrogen Isotopes

N-phenylsuccinimide labelled with tritium and with deuterium were obtained by catalytic hydrogenation of N-phenylmaleinimide. Purification of deuterated compound was realised by double crystallisation in alcohol. Product was analysed by IR spectrometry, RMN and used as GC MS internal standard. The rough tritium labelled compound was purified by preparative thin layer chromatography, and product was characterized by determination of radioactive concentration, radiochemical purity, chemical concentration and specific activities. Tritium labelled compound was used in obtaining of radio luminescent sources. Experimental results were associated with quantum-chemical studies.
