TDS: The software for the early diagnosis of melanoma

摘要

The aim of this study was to develop a new system to help clinicians reduce mortality due to melanoma. We design an image processing system for classify a pigmented skin lesion. The clinical diagnostics are based on the ABCD rule of dermatoscopic. The efficacy of this tool was tested on a data set of 74 dermatoscopic, compose by 14 melanomas, 54 nevi (benign melanocytic lesions) and 6 suspicious lesions. We are obtaining above 97% of success rate on the malignant and benign tumours.
