Computer Design Aid Greatly Simplifies the Design of Power Factor Converters

摘要

Due to the constant addition of more stringent energy regulations, the complexity of power supplies has greatly increased. Recognizing the need for a simpler way to proceed, many computer-aided design tools came about. This paper demonstrates the advantages of such a tool to quickly generate a working continuous conduction mode boost power factor correction (PFC) design. A full design is realized. Screen shots of the tool are provided along with relevant formulae.
