Study on the Sustainable Utilization Water Resource of the Upper Reaches of the Yellow River (within the Territory of Qinghai)

The area of upper reaches of the Yellow River is only 23.8% of that of the Yellow River, produce 50.2% annual runoff of the Yellow River, it is the most important to sustainablely utilize and develop water resource of the Yellow River, especially to maintain health life of the Yellow River. With building hydrological electric power stations of upper reaches of the Yellow River, and gradually implementing the project of water diversion the west line of southern water distributing to northern, the function and strategic position of the water resource of upper reaches of the Yellow River will be more and more important. It is most significant for us to promote the multi - national area economic sustainablely developing, and safeguard national unity, and promote social progress and prospering, and implement the develop - the - west strategy. According to water resource characteristic, current situation of development and utilization, existing problems, we have proposed countermeasures of rationally utilizing water resource and protecting ecological environment.
