A multi-step inverse analysis method of initial blank shape is developed in the fast stamping simulation system, FASTAMP. The method can not only deal with the initial blank shape in one-step stamping, but also the initial shape, the intermediate shapes and the bender lines of each step in multi-step stamping. The present algorithm can deal with technological conditions such as blank-holder force and friction, which improves the precision of the initial shape through calculating the intermediate shape precisely. The numerical results confirm the validity and versatility of the algorithm with the shape calculated of each step and comparison to experimental results. In the pre-processing system of FASTAMP, the multi-step analysis can be used in multi-process stamping and complicated progressive die forming with easy operation and high calculation speed.
