Reflections on Protecting the Ecological Environment of the Yellow River Basin by Taxation Lever

Problems concerning ecological environment are cosmopolitan, and the ecosystem and ecological environment of the Yellow River Basin are bearing multiple pressures, such as ecological damage, water body pollution, lack of water resources, etc. The reason why we use the viewpoint of economics to explain the abuse of environmental resources is mainly that the environmental resources have not been brought into the price system in a proper way. Therefore, it is necessary for us to bring factors concerning environment & resource revenue into systems of business cost accounting and national economic accounting, thus establishing modern system of property rights, modern enterprise institution, and system of price regulation for environmental protection and resource saving. All these measures will help to protect the ecological environment and keep healthy life of the Yellow River.
