PURPOSE: A holt within a river for the inhabitation of otters is provided to allow the otters to live, breed and be protected from external intrusions in natural states.;CONSTITUTION: A holt within a river for the inhabitation of otters includes a wall(11), a broken stone compacting layer, a floor, a roof(13), a first and a second river path(14,15), and a land path(16). The wall is four-sided, and is formed by doubly piling up bricks or lumbers. The broken stone compacting layer, which is formed by compacting broken stone, is formed at the lower side of the floor. A sand-gravel layer for easy drainage formed by mixing sand with gravel is formed on the broken stone compacting layer. The floor comprises the broken stone compacting layer and the sand-gravel layer. The roof, which completely covers the wall, is formed by the lumbers at a certain thickness. The first and the second river path have prescribed downward slopes from the inside of the wall to the river, connect the river and the holt, are entrances for the otters, and are formed with PE(polyethylene) corrugated pipes. The land path has a prescribed upward slope from the wall to a land, connects the land and the holt, is the entrance for the otters, is a vent in which outside air flows, and is formed with the PE corrugated pipe.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2013
