摘要

Propagation of nonlinear exchangeless spin-dipole waves in the millimeter wave range (f /spl sim/ 35-60 GHz) in ferrite films is investigated. A method for a derivation of nonlinear equation for the wave envelope based on the general theory of excitation of waveguides has been applied. This gives a possibility to obtain rigorously the nonlinear terms including the nonlinearity dispersion. A propagation of the nonlinear spin-dipole wave along the direction of the bias magnetic field is considered (backward volume waves). The range of wave numbers where the soliton propagation and of the collapse phenomena can occur has been specified. The numerical simulations have demonstrated a possibility of strong spatial-temporal compression of the input pulse.
