Enterprise information systems often face difficulties in linking various components and external systems. Interoperability among collaborating participants is hard to tackle in both business and IT domains. These call for effective architectural solutions that coordinate powerful technologies with business applications to enable seamless inter-organizational integration. The inter-organizational integration of information systems needs to be considered from an architectural point of view on issues around business, organization and information technology. In this paper, an isomorphic architecture for systems integration (IASI) is proposed with a focus on supply chain management systems. This architecture allows integrating the business agility and IT infrastructure by consolidating processes between these two domains, and facilitates business changes with simultaneous evolution of the IT infrastructure.
