The technology Virtual Reality (VR) is globally established in industry and has also found a fixed place in the development process of Airbus Germany. The human model VR-ANTHROPOS is, integrated into the virtual development environment of Airbus Germany, a working medium which protects the integration of the human aspects. This enables a purposeful design of the interface human/cabin, a long time before the cabin is really tangible. The anthropometric simulations are used for the whole cabin development process. Great attention is given to the optimisation of the passenger processes, service processes, workplace design for the crew, maintenance preparations, manufacturing and assembly design.
