Disaster Recovery Planning in the Aftermath of Hurricane Katrina

The consequences of Hurricane Katrina were catastrophic. After the emergency response and medical and human welfare issues were addressed, the disaster recovery process began. In the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, a wide variety of building/facility evaluation and rehabilitation services have been needed.These services have included the combined capabilities of architects, engineers,building scientists, industrial hygienists, and toxicologists who are trained for work in hurricane-damaged areas as well as in their particular disciplines.
