By adding hydroethyl methacrylate as potential crosslinker, the butyl methylacrylate/lauryl methylacrylate (CPMA) copolymeric fibers with oil-absorptive function were prepared using heat crosslinking technology after spinning. The effect of monomer feed ratio, crosslinked time and crosslinked temperature on the properties and structures of CPMA fibers was discussed. The results showed that; By controlling the monomer ratio, crosslinker concentration and crosslinked conditions, the maximum absorbencies of prepared fibers to different oil were 8g kerosene/g fiber, 15g toluene/g fiber and 34.75g chloroform/g fiber.
