VISCOSITY AND ITS APPLICATION IN LIQUID HYDROCARBON MEASUREMENT

This paper discusses the reasons for wanting to know the viscosity of a hydrocarbon and the some methods for measuring viscosity. Viscosity is defined as the measure of a fluid's internal, or intermolecular, resistance to shear stress. For pipe flows this property causes a velocity profile which can affect flow meter performance.
