In re-entry vehicle ground thermal dynamic ablation test, there are many kinds of shock waves in the flow field because of the protuberance. And a parts of shock waves will make a great influence on ablation thermal environment. In this paper, the surface cold-wall heat flux (SCHF) is been chosen as the one parameter of flow field to research the influence of shock wave on antenna cover protuberance ablation thermal environment. The test result shows that oblique shock wave and bow shock wave appear in front of antenna cover in usual situation. A new bow shock wave appears in front of the holder when the model holder has been raised up. In this situation the SCHF of antenna cover side wall and camber board enormously increases. But the new bow shock wave only makes a little influence on the SCHF of antenna cover front wall.
