A NEW APPROACH TO PROMOTE THE UTILIZATION OF JAXA'S ACADEMIC INFORMATION BY USING LINKED OPEN DATA

摘要

This paper describes publication of outcome that JAXA achieved and information sharing in JAXA. A problem of publication to outside is formats of publication data for two reasons. Firstly, it is becuase the formats of publication data differ depending on the variety of contents. Secondly, for using the contents requires manual and complex compilation. JAXA is considering a new content-indipendent formats that computer can understand. As a trial, JAXA applies the format of LOD to the metadata of technical reports and paper to gather the know-how for application and measure its effect. Information sharing within JAXA is classified into Information shareing company-wide and Information shareing in the project. A problem in sharing information within the organisationis many pieces of information that should be shared throughout the company are not shared company-wide due to not being stored in the document management system and stored in a shared file server. Therefore, JAXA organizes a role of the document management system and shared file server and introduces the file server management tool to promote information sharing and improve the quality of the security management, In the case of information sharing for project in JAXA, Project Management Sysytem (PIMS) is provided to the project. PIMS has document management, schedule management function, and workflow management capabilities. For a future work, we will work on the study of the analytical method of log contents in PIMS to hand off the knowledge extracted from the log contents to former project.
