摘要

In this paper, we describe a new type of low water peak communication fiber with S+C+L bands. The new fiber has excellent dispersion performance. It allows DWDM technology to be applied on S+C+L bands (wavelength is from 1460nm to 1625nm). It has lower relative dispersion slope (RDS), which makes it reduce the cost of full dispersion compensation. Moderate effective area makes new fiber have flexible amplification choices. Excellent PMD performance makes new fiber be applied for higher bit rate transmission system.
