A WIDE-AREA SYNCHRONIZED PARALLEL PROCESSING PLATFORM FOR POWER SYSTEM MONITORING AND CONTROL

摘要

This paper proposes a new idea to realize a wide-area synchronized parallel processing platform. The platform takes the advantages of the GPS, the data communication facilities and the other advanced techniques. The system structure, operation mode and data-exchanging mode of the proposed platform are discussed in details. The wide-area synchronized parallel processing platform has been successfully used in a monitoring, protection and control system for a provincial power system in China.
