The Army National Guard allows recruiters to work in the recruiting field for as long as they want, regardless of their effectiveness. Data indicate that most recruiters fail to meet quotas during their first year, are successful during the second and third years, but fail again starting in the fourth year. The question this study investigates then is should the Army National Guard be more in-line with the Active Army and limit the time a recruiter serves to 3 years, but no more than 4 years, in the recruiting field, depending on their effectiveness?
