Chitosan-ICS nanoparticles were prepared by complex coacervation method for oral delivery. The physicochemical properties of chitosan-ICS nanoparticles were evaluated by dynamic light scattering and zeta potential for 7 weeks. The morphology was investigated using scanning electron microscopy. An in vitro digestion/Caco-2 cell culture model was used to evaluate the permeability of iron from various iron preparations and chitosan-ICS nanoparticles.
