Quantification Of The Cutaneous Betamethasone-17-valerate And Methyl Nicotinate Penetration According To The FDA Guidance 'Topical Dermatologic Corticosteroids'

Drug penetration experiments with betamethasone- 17-valerate and methyl nicotinate in two different vehicles were performed according to the FDA Guidance “Topical Dermatologic Corticosteroids: In vivo bioequivalence”. An open two-compartment model for betamethasone- 17-valerate and an open one-compartment model for methyl nicotinate was found to be adequate for characterization of the response vs. time profiles.
