Cost of Shared Risk Link Protection in IP over Optical Transport Network

摘要

System cost of IP-over-WDM and IP-over-optical-transport-network (IP/OTN) are compared using different protection mechanisms taking into consideration shared risk links. Our results show that IP/OTN at 10 Gb/s and shared protection yields the lowest cost.
