APPLICATION OF HIGH RESOLUTION SATELLITE IMAGES AND LANDSAT 7 IN ENVIRONMENTAL INVESTIGATION FOR OILFIELD ENGINEERING

摘要

The construction of oil & gas fields will impose eventually significant impacts upon local ecological environment. How to formulate reasonable development program for the construction of oil & gas fields using remote sensing technology and evaluate the impacts of oil & gas field development upon ecological environment has been emphasized highly by the competent departments for environment protection in PetroChina. The French SPOT -5 satellite imaginary data has very high spatial resolution and, in combination with the American Landsat – 7 ETM imaginary data, can provide high quality information of engineering environment in oilfield development area, being an effective information resource for decision-making, survey, design and environment monitor during oil & gas field development.
