Recycling and utilization of by-products in stainless steelmaking process

The present situation of slag utilization and dust recycling at Hikari works of NSSC was introduced. The indexes based on the slag composition which correspond to the slag characteristics were clarified. The classification of slag becomes possible for each use. Fully recycling operation of the dust to EF is carrying out by the use of rotary hearth furnace.
